Out and about

Even though I was significantly more than a few fathoms out of my depth, I was glad that I went to the South West Innovation Forum on Friday.  Apart from anything else, it was good to get out of the office and have an entire day concentrating solely on my business, which has been a pretty difficult thing to do lately, given the events of the past few weeks.

The presentations were very high powered and when I tried my hand at a bit of networking during the coffee break, I was very pleased to discover that I wasn't the only one who felt it was all way over my head!

But although the presentations were pretty much a waste of time for me, it was worth sitting through them because during the day I managed to meet some very interesting people.  One or two even offered advice for my product testing - result!  I also discovered Enterprise Europe, which was brilliant because, after waiting for nearly a year to get an answer from Business Link, my question on European internet selling has at last been answered.  Thank you so much Enterprise Europe for your speedy response!

My day in South Devon was followed by a weekend in East Devon - at my friend's daughter's wedding, which was absolutely wonderful.  And I only lost one feather out of my sputnik!
